| Many problems we face are caused by entrenched politicians who primarily support bills that will guarantee their re-election. Worse yet, they use their power to control the votes of junior members by withholding: Key appointments, financial, legislative, and campaign support. Entrenched politicians support issues that attract labor, business, and special interest dollars, which many times seem like bribes.
"8 is Great" may attract those with the ability and desire to serve, knowing they will not have a long term government career with perks. Instead they must have what it takes to rejoin the private sector or "other" employment.
